More on the Coral Bay area
Pegeia village, 19 km northwest of Pafos (Paphos), is one of the most attractive and friendly villages in south-west
Cyprus. It enjoys the advantages of both a quiet rural location and glorious views of the sparkling
Mediterranean and the surrounding countryside. Pegeia is ideally located in a moderately developed area of Paphos.
The beautiful sandy beaches, the crystal blue sea and the peculiar rock formations are unique to the area. Local
amenities and sports include cycling, tennis, horse riding, paragliding, go-karting, swimming and a variety of beach
activities. Safaris run regularly to all parts of the island from here. Several family-run taverns and restaurants
serve excellent fresh food at competitive prices.
There are also rock-hewn tombs of the Roman period scattered throughout the area. Pegeia is also well-known for its
fountains in the stone paved village square. Close enough to Paphos to allow guests to explore the area, the
village is located in a delightfully peaceful place, only two kilometers from the wonderful beach of Coral Bay where
there are shops, bars, cafés and restaurants - Anthimos Hotel Apartments.
